Willows

Cotton Art Box is the ongoing work of Ricardo Preschel, a musician shaped by years spent between Lisbon, Berlin, and London. The project began in the 90s with “V Imperio” (Mar de Folhas), where fado met beauty, urban noise and electronic textures.

What Cotton Art Box creates now is a quiet kind of intensity: indie-folk-pop built on introspection and emotional clarity. The songs carry a sense of lived experience without dramatics, drawing from moments that linger. That feeling of late-night trains and unfamiliar streets.

Its sound leans into stillness, into the value of what’s unspoken. Melodies are deliberate and touched with a sense of “saudade”. Not as nostalgia for the past but as an ongoing search for meaning.

Cotton Art Box isn’t trying to impress; it’s trying to connect. It’s music is shaped by reflection and the quiet places where a person finally hears themselves.

Thank you for listening.
